How to make Slow-Cooker Reese’s™ Peanut Butter Cup Swirl Cake
Step 1: Using cooking spray, grease a 5 to 6-quart oval slow cooker.
Step 2: Place the cake mix, water, eggs, half a cup of peanut butter, and butter in a large bowl. Beat using an electric mixer on low for 30 seconds, then for another 2 minutes on medium speed, scraping the sides of the bowl.
Step 3: To a medium bowl, set aside ⅔ c of the batter. To make the chocolate fudge batter, whisk in half a cup of chocolate syrup to the batter.
Step 4: Into the slow cooker, spoon half of the peanut butter batter. On top, add the chocolate fudge batter followed by the rest of the peanut butter batter. Using a knife, make a swirl in a circular motion.
Step 5: Cover the slow cooker and set it to cook for 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours 15 minutes on high or until a toothpick inserted in the middle of the loaf comes out clean.
Step 6: Turn the slow cooker off, remove the lid, and transfer the ceramic base to a cooling rack. Allow the cake to cool for about 15 minutes.
Step 7: Place 3 tbsp peanut butter and 2 tbsp milk in a medium bowl. Mix well until smooth. Then, add the powdered sugar and stir well until smooth. Next, slowly add another 1 tbsp milk until the glaze reached the desired consistency.
Step 8: Over the warm cake, spread the peanut butter glaze and drizzle with the chocolate syrup. On top, sprinkle the peanut butter cups.
