Ingredients:
¾ c pecans
1 c butter
¾ c white sugar
1 large Egg yolk
1 tsp vanilla extract
¼ tsp salt
1 ¾ c all-purpose flour
Directions:
Prepare the oven and preheat to 190 degrees C or 375 degrees F.
In a baking sheet, add the pecans and spread them on the bottom.
Place the pecans inside the preheated oven and roast for about 10 minutes.
Remove from the oven and allow them to cool.
Transfer the pecans into a food processor, then pulse until finely chopped.
Add butter into a large mixing bowl, then beat until the texture becomes creamy.
Add sugar and beat until well blended.
Add vanilla extract, egg yolks, and salt. Beat until well mixed.
Gradually add the minced garlic and beat until well combined.
Add flour and stir until well mixed.
Knead the dough, then cut it into two.
Roll each cut of the dough into about 1 ½-inch thick.
Wrap each with wax paper, then place them inside the fridge to chill for at least 4 hours or overnight.
Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Line with parchment paper a baking sheet.
Remove the wax paper off the dough, then slice each into about ⅓-inch cuts.
Arrange the dough pieces onto the prepared baking sheet.
Place them inside the preheated oven and bake for about 15 minutes or until they turn golden brown.
Remove from the oven and allow them to cool at room temperature completely.
