2 cloves garlic, minced
¼ tsp pepper
2 c chicken broth
16 oz. large shrimp, peeled, deveined, and tails removed
½ c heavy cream
1 c milk
3 tbsp of unsalted butter, divided
Parsley to garnish
A pinch of nutmeg
Directions:
Place a pan on the stove and turn the heat to medium. Add 2 tbsp of butter and allow it to melt.
Add the shrimp to the pan, then cook each side for about a minute or two. Transfer them onto a clean plate.
Add the rest of the butter into the same pan and allow it to melt. Add the garlic and saute for about a minute or until aromatic.
Add the fettuccine noodles, milk, and chicken broth. Stir until well combined. Allow the mixture to boil.
Cover the pan with the lid, then turn the heat down to low. Simmer the mixture for 11 minutes. Make sure to stir from time to time.
Add nutmeg, pepper, heavy cream, and Parmesan cheese. Stir everything until well incorporated and allow the cheese to completely melt.
Put the shrimp back into the pan, then toss until coated with the delicious sauce. Simmer for 5 more minutes or until the texture of the sauce becomes thick. Remove from the heat.
Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley on top to garnish.
Serve right away. Enjoy!
Notes:
Place any leftovers in an airtight container, then put them in the fridge. Reheat for a few minutes before serving again. Add a bit of milk when you reheat to keep the sauce from separating.
