Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, that’s why we must always eat the best during that time. French Toast is my favorite breakfast food. I always pair it with scrambled eggs, bacon, and a cup of coffee! Allow me to share this recipe with you today! All you need are these easy steps and you are good to go! The ingredients are very simple as well. I’m sure you’re going to love this recipe. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon brown sugar
4 large Eggs
3 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
8 ounces (8 slices) of Brioche bread
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
dash of cinnamon, optional
A pinch of salt
Directions:
Slice the bread into small cuts and set them aside on a clean plate.
Add eggs, heavy whipping cream, salt, vanilla extract, and sugar into a large bowl. Whisk everything until well incorporated.
Place a large pan on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Add a few tbsp of canola oil and allow it to become hot.
Add each slice of bread into the bowl with the egg mixture and allow it to soak completely.
Add the soaked bread into the hot pan, then cook each side for about 3 to 4 minutes or until it becomes golden brown and toasted.
Transfer the toasted bread onto a clean plate. Repeat the process with the rest of the bread slices until everything is toasted.
Serve right away. Enjoy!
Notes:
Serve this with scrambled eggs and bacon or pretty much anything you want to turn into a complete meal.
Heavy whipping cream gives a nice texture to the bread that’s why I always use it for this recipe.
