The name itself gives you an idea of how awesome these chickens are! I love this recipe. It is simply the best-fried chicken recipe I have ever tried! Try it and be amazed. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
⅓ cup milk
1 egg
1-pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
¼ cup potato starch
¼ cup all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
¼ teaspoon shichimi togarashi (Japanese red pepper condiment)
oil for frying
¼ cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
1 teaspoon gochujang (Korean hot pepper paste)
Directions:
Step 1: In a medium mixing bowl, add in the egg and milk. Whisk until well mixed.
Step 2: Add in the chicken into the egg and milk mixture. Marinate for 15 minutes. This will help tenderize the chicken.
Step 3: In a medium mixing bowl, add in the flour, potato starch, pepper, salt, and ground red pepper. Stir until well mixed then transfer the mixture into a large resealable bag.
Step 3: Add in the marinated chicken and shake until all pieces are coated evenly with the mixture.
Step 4: Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Step 5: Pour in enough oil to submerge the chicken. Allow it to become hot.
Step 6: Add in 5 to 8 chicken at a time and cook for 90 seconds or until cooked through. Place on a clean plate lined with paper towels and drain the excess oil. Fry the rest of the chicken.
Step 7: Transfer the fried chickens into a medium mixing bowl.
Step 8: In a small mixing bowl, add in the honey, mayonnaise, gochujang, and sweet chili sauce. Stir until well mixed.
