All you need for this recipe are 3 basic ingredients! Yes, you read it right! Chicken, salt, and baking powder! You will be amazed at how crispy these chicken wings are! Serve them as is or with your favorite dipping sauces. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
2 teaspoons Baking Powder, not soda
1 teaspoon Salt
10 Chicken Wings segmented into tips, ‘wing’, and drumettes (total of 30 pieces).
1 teaspoon Black Pepper, freshly cracked (optional)
Directions:
Add the prepared chicken wings into a large mixing bowl.
Sprinkle salt and baking powder over the chicken wings. Use your clean hands to mix everything until the wings are well coated.
Prepare the oven and preheat to 250 degrees F or 125 degrees C.
Add the chicken wings onto a baking tray and arrange them in a single layer. Make sure to leave a small space between each wing.
Place the baking tray inside the preheated oven and bake the chicken wings for about 30 minutes.
Turn the heat up to about 425 degrees F, then bake the chicken for 40 more minutes or until done.
Remove the chicken wings from the oven.
Sprinkle pepper on top if you want.
Serve right away and enjoy!
Notes:
Place any leftovers in an airtight container, then place them inside the fridge. They can last up to 1 week.
You don’t need to remove the tip of each chicken wing for this recipe because they would crisp up!
Make sure to pat dry the chicken wings before adding the seasonings.
Also, place a tray below the rack to get the drippings. You should save them for later use. They are perfect for roasted potatoes!
