I never had a baked olive dip until a few weeks ago. I didn’t realize what I was missing since then! This baked olive dip has a delicious combo of mostly olives and cream cheese. I love to serve this cheesy baked olive dip hot from the oven with crackers, carrots, or celery. This baked olive dip is an all-star dip!
In this recipe, I use green and black olives as I found using both gives this dip a deeper and more complex flavor. Combining the olives with sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, and cheddar cheese, you are guaranteed the best dip you’ll ever make!
INGREDIENTS
½ tsp onion powder
1 c. black olives, roughly chopped
1 c. green olives, roughly chopped
½ c. mayonnaise
1 c. sharp cheddar cheese, grated, divided
½ tsp garlic powder
green onions, optional, finely chopped
½ (8 ounces) package of cream cheese, room temperature
crackers, for serving
kosher salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
How to make Baked Olive Dip
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees F.
Step 2: Place the mayonnaise and softened cream cheese in a medium bowl. Mix well until blended and smooth. Then, add the onion powder and garlic powder. Stir well and season with salt and pepper.
Step 3: Next, add the green and black olives. Add half a cup of the cheddar cheese and mix well.
Step 4: To a square baking dish, transfer the mixture and top with the rest of the cheese.
Step 5: Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 20 to 25 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and hot.
Step 6: When done, take the dish out of the oven and allow the dip to cool for about 10 minutes.
Step 7: Serve the Baked Olive Dip with crackers, carrots, or celery. Enjoy!
