This Apple Cinnamon Roll Lasagna recipe has been a part of my family forever! My grandma used to make this delicious treat all the time! I am so grateful to her for sharing this recipe with me because now, I get to share it with you as well! Ingredients:
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp cornstarch
⅓ c caramel sauce
4 large apples- peeled and diced (Granny Smith or Golden Delicious)
½ tsp nutmeg
½ c sugar
2 cans of refrigerated cinnamon rolls (save the icing packets for later)
Directions:
Prepare the oven and preheat to 190 degrees C or 375 degrees F.
Apply cooking spray to a 9×13-inch baking dish.
In a mixing bowl, add nutmeg, apple slices, cornstarch, sugar, and cinnamon. Toss everything until the apple slices are well coated.
Slice the cinnamon rolls into ¼-inch pieces.
Place rolls onto a flat surface, then sprinkle flour on top. Roll each into thin pieces.
Lay the prepared cinnamon rolls into the prepared baking dish and press it to the sides and bottom.
Pour ½ of the apple filling over the crust.
Drizzle 3 tbsp of caramel sauce on top of the apple filling.
Cover the baking dish with foil.
Place the baking dish inside the preheated oven and bake for about 30 minutes.
Remove the foil cover, then bake for 15 more minutes or until the top turns golden brown.
Remove Apple Cinnamon Roll Lasagna from the oven and allow it to rest for 30 minutes at room temperature.
Drizzle the icing over the lasagna.
