This amazing recipe never fails to make our family dinner extra special! You have got to give this Tater Tot Casserole a try, I’m telling you! The incredible flavors in each bite are very addicting that you would want to taste them all the time. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
1 lb. of ground beef
10.5 oz. can of condensed cream of chicken soup
A pinch of salt and black pepper
1 tsp garlic salt
½ c milk
⅓ c diced onion
28 oz. bag of frozen tater tots
2 c shredded cheddar cheese
1 tbsp butter
½ c sour cream
Directions:
Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Apply cooking spray to a 9×13-inch casserole dish.
Place a skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium. Add butter and allow it to melt.
Add the onions, then sauté for a few minutes until they become a bit caramelized.
Add the ground beef, then cook for a few minutes as well until crumbly and brown. Discard any excess fat. Transfer the ground beef into a large mixing bowl.
In the bowl with the ground beef, add garlic salt, milk, sour cream, cheddar cheese, salt, pepper, and cream of chicken soup. Stir everything until well blended.
Transfer the mixture to the prepared casserole dish. Spread it evenly.
Add the tater tots over the mixture. Use the whole bag to cover the ground beef mixture.
Place the casserole dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 45 to 50 minutes or until the top turns golden brown.
Remove the Tater Tot Casserole from the oven and allow it to rest for a few minutes at room temperature.
Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes:
You can broil the Tater Tot Casserole for a few minutes to slightly toast the top.
Place any leftovers in an airtight container, then place them in the fridge. Reheat in the microwave in the oven for a few minutes before serving.
