You can also freeze this for up to 3 months in an airtight container. To reheat, make sure to wrap the bread in tin foil and bake for about 15 to 20 minutes at 375 degrees F. Wrapping the bread in foil will keep the bread from getting soggy.
Ingredients
2 tbsp butter
16 oz. Ribeye Steak thinly sliced
1 tbsp canola oil
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 medium yellow onion, sliced
4 oz. mushrooms, sliced
1 medium green bell pepper, sliced
10-12 slices, Provolone cheese
1 loaf French bread, cut in half lengthwise
¼ c. mayonnaise
salt and pepper to taste
HOW TO MAKE PHILLY CHEESE STEAK CHEESY BREAD
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 400 degrees. Season the ribeye steak with salt and pepper.
Step 2: Heat the oil in a large cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak and sear for about 2 minutes per side. Then, add the Worcestershire sauce and toss to coat the steak. Set aside.
Step 3: To the pan, add the butter, bell peppers, onion, and mushroom. To taste, season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 2 minutes until the vegetables have softened.
Step 4: On both halves of the bread, spread the mayonnaise. On top, lay slices of Provolone cheese. Then, add the steak and veggies. On top, add the rest of the cheese.
Step 5: On the middle rack of the preheated oven, bake for about 10 to 15 minutes.
Step 6: Remove from the oven when done and slice the Philly cheese steak cheesy bread into two-inch thick pieces. Enjoy!
