This Garbage Bread is a great party or weeknight meal. Super delicious, cheesy, and loaded with amazing flavors! This garbage bread is excellent to pair with classic hamburger sauce.
Garlic bread has been my favorite for years! My friend introduced me to this amazing recipe. This garlic bread is not only amazing, but is crazy easy and quick to whip up! But no, this is not low-calorie. But a little carb won’t hurt sometimes.
INGREDIENTS
1 pound ground beef
½ pound bacon
½ yellow onion, diced
1 tbsp steak seasoning
2 c. cheddar cheese, grated
2 tbsp butter, melted
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
½ c. green onions, finely chopped
1 (14-ounce) can of French bread dough (or use pizza dough)
How to make Garbage Bread
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 375 degrees F.
Step 2: Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy but still chewy. Set the bacon aside when done.
Step 3: From the pan, drain most of the bacon grease before adding the ground beef and onion. Then, season with steak seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook for about 5 to 6 minutes or until the beef is brown. Return the bacon and add the green onions. Stir well, then take the pan off the heat.
Step 4: In a rectangle, roll out the French bread dough. Over the dough, evenly spread the beef mixture, leaving about an inch border around the edge. Then, sprinkle the cheese on top.
Step 5: Tightly roll the dough, beginning with the long side, tucking the ends under half an inch on each side. Then, place it on a baking sheet and brush the top with melted butter.
Step 6: Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 20 to 25 minutes or until the bread is golden brown.
