If you are looking for a quick and easy recipe to serve, you ought to give this one a try! You are more than welcome to experiment on it! For example, you can try using white rice instead of potatoes. You can also use a different kind of meat and veggies! I make this all the time because I am a busy person that has very limited time to spend in the kitchen. I am so glad that a friend of mine gave me this recipe. Anyway, I hope you all love and appreciate this. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
1 lb hot or sweet Italian sausage, crumbled
1 c chopped onion
1 c chopped green bell pepper
1 (14-oz.) can diced tomatoes
1 c sour cream
1 c water
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp chilli powder
¾ tsp salt
½ lb narrow or medium egg noodles
Directions:
Step 1: Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Step 2: Add in the sausage, green pepper, and onion. Cook for several minutes until the sausage is crumbly and brown and the onion is translucent.
Step 3: Remove any excess grease.
Step 4: In a medium mixing bowl, add in the sour cream, water, tomatoes, chilli powder, sugar, and salt. Stir until well combined.
Step 5: Transfer the mixture into the skillet as well as the noodles. Stir until well combined.
Step 6: Cover the skillet and reduce the heat to medium-low. Simmer for about 15 to 20 minutes or until the noodles are al dente. Make sure to stir from time to time to prevent the noodles from sticking.
Step 7: Remove from the heat.
Step 8: Serve and enjoy!
