This dish is my comfort food! Every time I eat this superb meal, I feel invincible! Trust me, you need this in your life! In about 1 ½ hours, you will have the best lunch or dinner. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
1 (6 ounces) package wild rice (such as Uncle Ben’s ®)
3 cups of water
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1-pound skinless, boneless chicken breast meat – cut into chunks
1 (14.5 ounces) can French-cut green beans, drained
1 (10.75 ounces) can cream of mushroom soup
1 cup mayonnaise
Directions:
Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Step 2: Place a saucepan on the stove.
Step 3: Add the wild rice and pour in enough water to cook it.
Step 4: Turn the heat to high and bring to a boil.
Step 5: Cover the saucepan and reduce to medium-low heat. Simmer for about 20 to 25 minutes or until the rice is soft.
Step 6: Remove any liquid from the saucepan.
Step 7: Pat the rice using a fork and cook for another 5 minutes without cover. Remove from the heat.
Step 8: Place pan on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Step 9: Drizzle oil and add the chicken. Cook for about 5 minutes or until the colour turns brown.
Step 10: In a large baking dish, add the rice, green beans, chicken, mayonnaise, and mushroom soup. Stir until well mixed.
Step 11: Place inside the preheated oven and bake for about 45 minutes or until the chicken is well cooked.
Step 12: Remove from the oven.
Step 13: Serve and enjoy!
