It was love at first sight, the first time I saw this recipe online. I knew right away that it was going to be great. I was right! You need to give this recipe a chance to satisfy your craving for a cheesy lasagna. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
1-pound ground beef
1 small onion diced
24 ounces marinara
3 cloves garlic minced
2 cups ricotta cheese
1 large egg
¼ cup parmesan cheese
¼ cup chopped parsley
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
25 ounces frozen cheese ravioli
2 cups shredded mozzarella
minced parsley for garnish
Directions:
Step 1: Ready the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Step 2: Apply cooking spray in a 13×9-inch baking dish.
Step 3: Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Step 4: Add the ground beef and onion. Cook and crumble the meat until done.
Step 5: Discard the accumulated grease.
Step 6: Add in the marinara sauce and garlic. Stir until well mixed and simmer over low heat for 5 minutes.
Step 7: In a small mixing bowl, add the egg, Parmesan, ricotta, garlic powder, parsley, and onion powder. Stir until well mixed.
Step 8: Transfer about ⅓ of the meat mixture into the greased baking dish. Spread it evenly on the bottom.
Step 9: Add a layer of ravioli over the meat mixture, then ½ of the ricotta mixture, and ⅓ of the prepared sauce. Repeat this method until everything is arranged in layers.
Step 10: Top everything with marinara sauce.
Step 11: Sprinkle shredded Mozzarella on top of the marinara sauce.
Step 12: Cover the baking dish with aluminium foil.
Step 13: Bake inside the preheated oven for 40 minutes or until done.
Step 14: Remove the cover and bake for 10 minutes more.
Step 15: Remove from the oven and let it sit on a wire rack to set for about 10 minutes. Sprinkle minced parsley on top.
Step 16: Serve and enjoy!
NOTES:
You can use ricotta cheese instead of the cottage cheese.
You can also use other kinds of ravioli.
