You will be amazed by how awesome these cookies are! I am so glad that I finally decided to give it a try because I just added another recipe to my favorites. Try it today and I am sure that you will put this on your list as well. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon coarse salt
1 ¾ cups brown sugar
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
¼ cup white sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups chocolate chips
18 eaches unwrapped caramel candies (such as Werther’s®), each cut into 6 pieces
Directions:
Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Step 2: In a medium mixing bowl, add in the baking soda, flour, and salt. Whisk until well mixed.
Step 3: In another mixing bowl, add in the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar. Beat using an electric mixer until well blended.
Step 4: Gradually add eggs and vanilla extract. Beat until creamy.
Step 5: Transfer the mixture into the butter mixture and stir until well mixed then add in the chocolate chips.
Step 6: Cut the dough and form them into balls. Place them on the prepared baking sheet and make sure to leave 1-inch space between each cookie.
Step 7: Place 3 caramel slices on top of each cookie.
Step 8: Place inside the preheated oven and bake for 13 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Step 9: Remove from the oven and let it sit at room temperature to cool.
Step 10: Serve and enjoy!
Note:
I add the caramels before baking because it looks better compared to mixing it with the dough.
