Cheesy and meaty! This dish will bring a smile to your face today, that’s for sure! I have listed all the steps and ingredients so there is no reason why you shouldn’t give this a try. You would love every bite of this. I guarantee that!
Ingredients:
1 (16 ounces) package elbow macaroni
6 slices bacon
2 teaspoons butter
1 head broccoli, cut into florets
1 small onion, chopped
3 large eggs eggs
2 cups of milk
salt and pepper to taste
¼ teaspoon adobo seasoning
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese, divided’
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
20 eaches frozen bite-size potato nuggets (such as Tater Tots®)
Directions:
Step 1: Place a large pot on the stove and pour it in salted water. Turn the heat to high and bring to a boil.
Step 2: Add in the macaroni and cook for 8 minutes or until al dente’. Drain and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process.
Step 3: Ready the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Step 4: Apply cooking spray in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Step 5: Place a skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Step 6: Add in the bacon and cook for 10 minutes or until the color turns brown and crispy.
Step 7: Remove the bacon and place them on a clean plate lined with paper towels. Crumble and set aside.
Step 8: Add in 1 teaspoon of butter in the skillet and allow it to melt.
Step 9: Add in the onion and broccoli. Cook for 5 minutes or until the broccoli is soft and the onion is translucent.
Step 10: In a large mixing bowl, add in the eggs, milk, and the rest of the butter. Season with adobo seasoning, salt, and pepper. Add in 1 cup Cheddar cheese, broccoli mixture, 1 cup mozzarella cheese, and ½ of the potato nuggets.
Step 11: Place the macaroni into the baking dish and toss in the cheese mixture on top of the pasta. Stir until well mixed.
Step 12: Top with the rest of the Cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, potato nuggets, and bacon. Cover with aluminum foil.
Step 13: Place inside the preheated oven and bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until golden brown.
Step 14: Remove from the oven and let it sit on a wire rack to cool at room temperature.
Step 15: Serve and enjoy!
