I am sure that your mouth is watering just by reading this so what are you waiting for? It’s time to go to the kitchen and start preparing the ingredients. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
2 eaches hamburger buns, split and cut into ¾ inch strips*
½ small red onion, chopped
1 pound lean ground beef
1 cup ketchup
½ cup finely chopped dill pickle
1 tablespoon prepared yellow mustard
½ small red onion, sliced
8 cups chopped lettuce
2 plum tomato (blank)s plum tomatoes, chopped
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
Directions:
Step 1: Ready the oven. Preheat it to 425 degrees F or 220 degrees C.
Step 2: On a baking sheet, arrange the hamburger buns strips. Place in the preheated oven and bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until the strips are a bit toasted. Remove from the oven and set aside.
Step 3: In a skillet, add the ground beef and cook over medium heat for 10 to 12 minutes. As it cooks, make sure to break the beef apart. Cook until the meat is no longer pink and the beef is well browned. Then, stir in the onion, ketchup, dill pickle, and mustard. Mixing well.
Step 4: On a large serving plate, arrange the chopped lettuce, then, place a spoonful of the beef mixture on top. Top it with sliced onion, plum tomatoes, and shredded cheese. Around the plate, arrange the hamburger bun croutons.
Tips:
I would recommend using only hamburger bun tops for the croutons. And your salad will be super attractive!
