This recipe is a combination of cream cheese and Cheddar cheese. It’s what makes this recipe special! The jalapeños give this dish a distinct flavor so make sure to add it. My only advice to you is to be very generous with the cheese. Make it a cheese-overload meal. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
1 store-bought pizza dough, left to rise at least one hour on the county
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 cup cheddar cheese, plus ⅓ cup
½ tsp. garlic powder
2 jalapeños, seeded and diced, plus 1 jalapeño, sliced
Splash of Cholula, or your favorite hot sauce
Salt and pepper, to taste
4 tbsp. unsalted butter, melted
1 tbsp. fresh parsley, chopped
Ranch dressing (optional)
Directions:
Step 1: Ready the oven and preheat to 450 degrees F.
Step 2: Grease the entire bundt pan.
Step 3: Sprinkle a little flour on a flat surface. Place the pizza dough and cut it into 16 pieces then set aside.
Step 4: In a large mixing bowl, add in 1 cup Cheddar cheese, 2 diced jalapeños, cream cheese, hot sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir until well mixed.
Step 5: Flatten each cut of dough into round shapes using your hands.
Step 6: Spread a little of the cream cheese mixture in the middle and fold the dough forming a ball.
Step 7: Place the filled dough into the greased bundt pan.
Step 8: In a small mixing bowl, add in the fresh parsley and melted butter. Stir until well mixed.
Step 9: Spread a little butter on top of the dough.
Step 10: Sprinkle Cheddar cheese over and place jalapeño slices.
Step 11: Repeat this method until all the balls of dough are in the bundt pan.
Step 12: Place inside the preheated oven and bake for 25 minutes or until the monkey bread turns golden brown.
Step 13: Remove from the oven and let it sit on a wire rack to cool at room temperature.
Step 14: Use a butter knife to remove the bread from the pan. Flip it over and place them on a clean serving plate.
Step 15: Serve and enjoy!
Note:
I usually serve this Monkey bread with a side of the ranch as a dipping sauce.
