I’m not one of those addicted to chocolate drinks, I mean chocolate is good, but I rarely eat or drink chocolate. When my father and I visited our local coffee shop, the employee mistakenly gets my father’s order and got me this Kahlua Cocoa drink. My original order was Mocha, and I guess she heard cocoa instead of mocha. We had little time to talk because we are in a rush to do some chores. I don’t want to waste money, so I drink it, and we were surprised because I like it.
This indulgent drink is like warmth in a cup and will warm you up from the inside out, even when you’re cold to the bone during those days. It’s made from a combination of unsweetened cocoa powder, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and the signature ingredient, of course, Kahlua. This boozy drink will still take off the chill and keep you toasty, even if the temperatures drop below zero. It’s the perfect treat to indulge when snowing in, or when you want to unwind by the crackling fire on a frigid evening. Try this recipe for Kahlua Cocoa, and don’t forget to share and enjoy it with your loved ones.
Ingredients:
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tbsp Kahlua, or cognac
¼ tsp vanilla extract
¼ tsp ground cinnamon
¾ cup 1% milk
Directions:
Add and place brown sugar, cocoa powder, Kahlua (or cognac), vanilla extract, and cinnamon in a blender. Add and heat milk in a saucepan until steaming. Add the hot milk to the blender and blend until frothy.
Note:
You can serve this to your guests with different toppings. On occasions, I like putting the different topping on the table, so that my guests can pick their preferred toppings for their Kahlua Cocoa. I think it’s even more enjoyable if you do that.
