This recipe was from my mom and I would watch her as a child make these cookies and it was always around the holidays of Thanksgiving and Christmas. They simply melt in your mouth. I remember watching her add or take out an ingredient till she had it just right. I know you will love this recipe!
Ingredients
2 c all-purpose flour
½ tsp salt
¾ c butter room temp
½ c cane sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 egg
1 ½ c semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 ½ c confectioners’ sugar
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Sift together flour and salt and set aside.
2. Blend the butter, cane sugar, and vanilla. Beat in egg. Stir in flour mixture, and chocolate chips.
3. Shape into balls about an inch in size. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet.Bake for 15-20 minutes. Cool slightly. Roll in confectioners sugar.
