How to make Philly Cheesesteak Stromboli
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 425 degrees F.
Step 2: In a large skillet, cook the beef with onion, bell pepper, and garlic over medium heat until the beef is crumbly and browned. Drain and place everything back into the skillet. Next, add the Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
Step 3: On a large greased rimmed baking sheet, unroll the dough, then press it into a large rectangle. Sprinkle the dough with 1 cup of cheese. On top, place the beef mixture, making sure to leave about a 1-inch border on the sides. Then, sprinkle the meat mixture with 1 c cheese and drizzle with ¼ c dressing.
Step 4: Roll the dough, beginning at one long side, and pinch the ends to seal.
Step 5: On the baking sheet, arrange the Stromboli, seam-side down. At 1-inch intervals, cut slits in the dough.
Step 6: Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 20 to 25 minutes or until the Stromboli is deep golden brown.
Step 7: Remove from the oven when done and allow the Stromboli to stand for about 10 minutes. Slice and serve with the rest of the dressing for dipping. Enjoy!
