This crockpot chili is my favorite! It’s an incredibly easy recipe that you can make any time in your slow cooker. Cook the chili either on a high or low setting and come back to the most amazing, flavorful chili that is packed with ground beef, beans, tomato sauce, and seasonings.
This is the best chili I have ever made! Cooks all day for that mouthwatering flavor. This crockpot chili recipe has been my go-to. To serve, we love to top this with sour cream and cheese. For a fun twist, layer some corn chips on top. This crockpot chili is an amazing dish to warm up chilly nights! Make sure to give this a try. I’m sure you’ll enjoy this chili as much as we do!
INGREDIENTS
1 medium onion, diced
3 lbs ground beef
15.5 ounces can of chili beans
2 tbsp chili powder
4 tsp cumin
1 ½ tsp garlic salt
2 tsp oregano
30 ounces can of tomato sauce
2 c. water
2 cans petite diced tomatoes (14.5 ounces each)
How to make Crockpot Chili
Step 1: Saute the ground beef and onion in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once cooked through, drain any excess grease.
Step 2: To a 6-quart slow cooker, transfer the ground beef and onions. Then, add the remaining ingredients. Stir well.
Step 3: Set to cool for 3 to 4 hours on high to 6 to 8 hours on low.
Step 4: Before serving, top with sour cream and cheese (optional). Enjoy!
TIPS:
If making on the stovetop: Place the browned hamburger, tomatoes, onion, tomato sauce, chili beans, and water in a large pot. Stir and allow everything to simmer for about 1 hour, stirring often. Add the chili powder after an hour along with garlic salt, cumin, and oregano. Continue to simmer for another 2 hours. Before serving, top the chili with sour cream and cheese (optional).
