This Chicken Lazone is one of my family’s favorite chicken dinners. This is a simple, relatively fast recipe to make even on the busiest days. This dish is made with seasoned butter, and pan-fried chicken in an easy creamy pan sauce. Serve this over pasta for a delightful, family-friendly weeknight meal all year round!
INGREDIENTS
½ c. butter, divided
2 lbs chicken breast tenderloins
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp chili powder
½ tsp white pepper
3 c. heavy cream
10-12 ounces spaghetti, cooked
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
How to make Chicken Lazone
Step 1: In a bowl, place the garlic, salt, onion powder, chili powder, paprika, and white pepper. Mix well until combined. Set aside 2 tsp of the spice mixture and rub the chicken with the rest.
Step 2: In a large skillet, melt 3 tbsp butter over medium heat. Once the butter has melted, add half of the chicken pieces and sear until brown. Then, add another tbsp of butter. Flip the chicken and continue to cook the other side until brown.
Step 3: Set the chicken aside when done and cook the rest of the chicken. Once all the chicken is cooked, tent them with aluminum foil.
Step 4: In the same skillet, add the cream and reserved spice mixture. Heat over medium heat while stirring slowly until simmering. Continue to cook for another 10 to 15 minutes once simmering over medium heat until thick and creamy. To taste, season with more salt and/or garlic powder.
Step 5: Remove from the heat when done and serve the chicken right away over cooked spaghetti topped with the sauce. Enjoy!
NOTES:
To make sure there is enough sauce for 6-8 servings, I use 3 c cream.
If desired, you can swap white pepper with black pepper.
If cutting the recipe in half, use 2 c cream.
