This Stir fry is one of the easiest and quickest dinners you can make! A savory one-skillet meal with tender chicken and broccoli coated in a honey garlic sauce. Prep this in under ten minutes and have this ready on your dinner table in less than thirty minutes!
I love this recipe. It is super easy and fast to make. This recipe is also very versatile. You can swap out the protein with shrimp, tofu, or cubed steak. If you want this stir fry to be vegetarian-friendly, you can simply add more veggies such as asparagus, cauliflower, sugar snap peas, and zucchini. Or if you want to make this spicy, add some red pepper flakes, chili oil, cayenne pepper, and sriracha to the sauce.
INGREDIENTS
1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp oil, divided
¼ c. low sodium soy sauce
¼ c. water
1 tsp sesame oil
¼ c. honey
2 tsp cornstarch
2 c. broccoli
sesame seeds for garnish if desired
salt and pepper to taste
HOW TO MAKE HONEY GARLIC CHICKEN STIR FRY
Step 1: In a large skillet, heat 1 tbsp oil. Once hot, add the broccoli and cook for about 4 to 5 minutes until tender and caramelized, stirring often. Set the broccoli aside when done.
Step 2: In the same pan, add the rest of the oil. Add the chicken in batches and cook until crispy and caramelized. Then, add the garlic and cook for a minute more.
Step 3: In a small bowl, place the soy sauce, water, honey, and sesame oil. Stir well until combined.
Step 4: To the pan, pour in the sauce and return the broccoli.
Step 5: Whisk the cornstarch and 1 tbsp cold water in a small bowl until well blended. Gradually stir this into the sauce. Allow the sauce to simmer for about 1 to 2 minutes until thickened.
Step 6: To taste, season with salt and pepper.
Step 7: Serve the honey garlic chicken stir fry right away garnished with sesame seeds (optional). Enjoy!
