This 3 Ingredient Crock Pot BBQ Wings recipe is my go-to for mouthwatering BBQ wings! This recipe requires just three simple ingredients, yet guarantees the best-tasting, tender, and juicy BBQ wings you’ll ever taste! And making this in the crockpot makes everything hassle-free.
Ingredients
1 c. BBQ Sauce, divided
Salt and pepper, to taste
3 pounds uncooked chicken wings, fresh or frozen
How to make 3 Ingredient Crock Pot BBQ Wings
Step 1: If using frozen chicken wings, defrost in the fridge for at least 4 hours or overnight. To taste, season the uncooked wings with salt and pepper.
Step 2: Using nonstick cooking spray, grease the bottom and sides of a slow cooker. On the bottom, place the chicken wings and pour half a cup of the BBQ sauce on top. Toss to coat the chicken wings well.
Step 3: Put the lid on and set it to cook for 2 hours on high or 4 hours on low until the internal temperature of the wings reach 165 degrees F.
Step 4: On a greased baking sheet, transfer the chicken wings and brush with half c. of the BBQ sauce on both sides. Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 15 to 20 minutes at 400 degrees F, flipping halfway. Or Broil for about 2 to 5 minutes on high, flipping the wings halfway. You can also cook the wings on a grill at 450 degrees for about 10 to 15 minutes, flipping halfway.
Step 5: Set the wings aside when done and let them cool for about 5 minutes.
Step 6: Serve the BBQ wings warm with your preferred sauces. Enjoy!
Tips:
Rinse the frozen chicken wings before adding them to the crockpot.
For tender, juicy wings, cover the wings with cola or sprite.
Barely cover the wings with cola as the wings will create juices while cooking.
