This casserole is made with just a few simple ingredients; butter, cream cheese, milk, frozen corn, and cheddar cheese. Prep this casserole in a snap and have this ready on your dinner table in less than twenty minutes!
This casserole is perfect if you are a fan of corn casseroles. This Cream Cheese Corn Casserole also makes the best side dish for potlucks or holidays. This casserole is filled with corn in a rich cream cheese sauce. Cayenne pepper is optional. but recommended for that perfect amount of heat. This Cream Cheese Corn Casserole is a favorite at home. INGREDIENTS
4 tbsp butter
1 (8-ounce) package of cream cheese, softened and cubed
⅓ c. milk
¼ tsp black pepper
1 (18-ounce) bag of frozen corn, thawed
½ tsp salt
1 c. sharp cheddar cheese, grated
¼ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
How to make Cream Cheese Corn Casserole
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees F. Ready a 2-quart baking dish. Grease and set aside.
Step 2: Melt the cream cheese and butter in a medium pot over low heat. Once melted, whisk in the milk until the mixture is smooth. To taste, season with salt and pepper. Add the corn and cayenne pepper (optional).
Step 3: Into the prepared baking dish, pour the mixture and sprinkle the cheese on top.
Step 4: Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
Step 5: Remove from the oven when done and serve the cream cheese corn casserole right away. Enjoy!
