This hamburger casserole is an easy and quick dinner option! A four-ingredient recipe that is budget-friendly, super simple to throw together, and ready in a snap! This is an excellent casserole for busy weeknights and your picky eaters!
Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
2 (10 ounces) cans of tomato soup
1 c. shredded mozzarella
2 c. shredded cheddar
1 (1 pound) box of medium pasta shells
garlic, salt & pepper to taste
½ c. water
How to make 4 Ingredient Hamburger Casserole
Step 1: Following the package directions, cook the pasta until al dente. Drain when done.
Step 2: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 375 degrees. Ready a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Grease and set aside.
Step 3: Place the ground beef in a large skillet. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper (you can use your favorite seasoning). Cook the beef, breaking the meat into pieces until browned.
Step 4: Into the skillet with the browned beef, add the cooked pasta along with the tomato soup, half c. of the water, and half of the shredded mozzarella & cheddar cheese. Stir and continue to cook for another 2 to 3 minutes over medium heat.
Step 5: Into the prepared baking dish, pour the mixture and top with the rest of the cheese.
Step 6: Using foil, cover the baking dish. Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 10 minutes. To brown the cheese, broil the casserole in the last 2 to 3 minutes.
Step 7: Remove the casserole from the oven when done and serve it immediately. You can keep any leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days. Enjoy!
Notes:
You can skip the mozzarella cheese and use only cheddar cheese. I love mozzarella to make stringy cheese.
