These no-bake chocolate oat bars are an amazing treat perfect for everyone! Incredibly easy & quick to make and made with just a couple of simple ingredients. This tasty dessert is made of chocolate and oat layers and drizzled with melted chocolate.
Just a few days ago I whipped up another batch of this amazing dessert. I made a big batch because my kids are afraid that a single batch would never be enough. These no-bake bars have been one of the best desserts I’ve made!
Ingredients
3 c. quick cooking oats
1 c. butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ c. brown sugar, packed
1 c. semisweet chocolate chips
Chocolate chips for drizzle
½ c. peanut butter
HOW TO MAKE NO-BAKE CHOCOLATE OAT BAR
Step 1: Ready the pan. Grease and set aside.
Step 2: In a medium pot, melt the butter. Once melted, add the brown sugar and vanilla. Next, add the oats, stir, and cook for a couple of minutes over low heat. Into the prepared pan, pour half of the mixture, pressing it down using a spatula. Set aside.
Step 3: In a different pot, melt the chocolate chips and peanut butter over low heat, whisking well until smooth. Then, pour this over the oat layer. On top of the chocolate layer, crumble the rest of the oat mixture, pressing it gently.
Step 4: On top, drizzle the melted chocolate chips. Place in the fridge for a couple of hours.
Step 5: Take the bar out of the fridge once set and let it cool at room temperature before slicing. Enjoy!
Tips:
For this recipe, you can use quick-cooking oats or rolled/old-fashioned oats. I prefer Quick oats because they are more processed and needed the shortest time to cook.
Make sure to let the layer sit before building as the oats need to be part of the chocolate layer.
