1 (29-ounce) can of tomato sauce
1 (14.5 ounces) can of diced tomatoes
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp dried basil
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried thyme
2 c. elbow macaroni
2 bay leaves
How to make Beef Macaroni Soup
Step 1: Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the onion and cook for about 5 minutes or until tender and translucent. Then, add the garlic and continue to cook for another minute.
Step 2: To the pot, add the ground beef and season with salt and pepper. Continue to cook until the meat is brown. If needed, drain the excess grease. Then, add the beef broth, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, basil, oregano, thyme, and bay leaves. Stir well until incorporated.
Step 3: Bring everything to a boil. Once boiling, decrease the heat to a simmer and continue to cook for another 10 minutes. Next, add the macaroni and simmer for another 10 minutes until the pasta is tender.
Step 4: As needed, adjust the seasoning.
Step 5: Ladle the soup into serving bowls and serve immediately. Enjoy!
