Ingredients
1 pound lean ground beef
1 ½ c. instant rice, uncooked
½ c. yellow onion, diced
2 ½ c. cheddar cheese blend, shredded
10.75 ounces condensed tomato soup
1 c. 2% milk
8.5 ounces of canned corn
½ tablespoon dehydrated minced onion
½ tablespoon dried chives
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
How to make Cheesy Tomato Ground Beef and Rice
Step 1: Following the package directions, cook the instant rice. Set aside when done.
Step 2: Cook the ground beef in a large frying pan with a dab of butter or margarine over medium-high heat until no longer pink. Then, add the diced onions and continue to cook until the meat is cooked through. When done, drain the excess grease.
Step 3: Adjust the heat to medium, then add the corn to the meat mixture along with the tomato soup, milk, and cooked rice. Mix well and simmer for about 10 minutes.
Step 4: After 10 minutes, stir in 2 c of the shredded cheese.
Step 5: On top, add the rest of the half c cheese. DO NOT STIR. Let it sit until the cheese has melted.
Step 6: Serve and enjoy!
