½ c. brown sugar, packed
Chocolate chips for drizzle
½ c. peanut butter
HOW TO MAKE NO-BAKE CHOCOLATE OAT BAR
Step 1: Ready a pan. Grease and set aside.
Step 2: Allow the butter to melt over medium heat. Once melted, add the brown sugar and vanilla. Next, add the oats and cook for a couple of minutes. Into the prepared pan, pour half of the mixture, pressing it down using a spatula. Set aside.
Step 3: In a different pot, melt the chocolate chips and peanut butter over low heat, stirring until smooth. On top of the oat layer, pour the mixture. Then, make another layer of chocolate layer on top, pressing it gently. Drizzle the melted chocolate chips on top.
Step 4: Place in the fridge for a couple of hours. Once set, take the bar out of the fridge and let it cool at room temperature.
Step 5: Slice and serve. Enjoy!
Tips and variations:
For this recipe, you are welcome to use quick-cooking oats or rolled/old-fashioned oats. I use quick oats as it takes the shortest time to cook.
Make sure to let the layer sit before adding the next layer as the oats need to be part of the chocolate layer.
