I love Mexican dishes including their dips. This Killer Bean Dip is one of my favorites. It is a wonderful Mexican dip that you can easily and quickly make. This dip is excellent for a crowd. This dip pairs well with Fritos, and tortilla chips, or for a gluten-free version, you can serve this dip with some veggies. If you also love Mexican dips, this Killer Bean Dip is a must!
Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1½ c. salsa
1 (1-ounce) package of taco seasoning
1 (28-ounce) can of refried beans
1 (16-ounce) package of Velveeta cheese, cubed
HOW TO MAKE KILLER BEAN DIP
Step 1: Cook the beef in a skillet over medium-high heat. Drain the excess grease.
Step 2: Place the cooked beef, taco seasoning, salsa, Velveeta, and refried beans in a large pot. Mix well and cook for about 10 minutes over low heat until the cheese has melted and the dip is warm, stirring often.
Notes:
To make it in the slow cooker, place the cooked beef in a slow cooker along with taco seasoning, salsa, Velveeta, and refried beans. Set to cook for 4 hours on low, stirring often.
You can also make this dip in the microwave. In a microwave-safe dish, place the cooked beef, taco seasoning, salsa,
Velveeta, and refried beans. Cook on high until melted, stirring after every minute.
For this recipe, you can use ground turkey in place of ground beef.
