I love this dish so much! The Chow Mein Sauce is the highlight of this. Ready in just a couple of minutes, lunch or dinner will be awesome for sure! Noodles, chicken, veggies, and a delicious sauce. Nothing can beat that. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
1 large carrot, julienned
12 ounces Chow Mein noodles (uncooked)
2 garlic cloves
½ bunch of green onions – sliced
2 c cabbage
1 pound chicken breast, boneless, skinless (cut into bite-sized strips)
3 tablespoons olive oil
Chow Mein Sauce:
3 tablespoons light sesame oil (not toasted)
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
½ c chicken broth
6 tablespoons oyster sauce
Directions
Add soy sauce, sesame oil, oyster sauce, cornstarch, chicken broth, granulated sugar, and sesame oil into a mixing bowl.
Whisk everything until well blended.
Refer to the directions provided on the package of pasta on how to cook it. Drain and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process.
Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium. Add olive oil and allow it to become hot.
Add the chicken into the hot skillet, then cook for a few minutes until golden brown. Transfer the chicken onto a clean plate.
In the same skillet, add the garlic, cabbage, and carrots. Sauté for a few minutes until aromatic and soft.
Put the chicken back into the skillet together with the noodles and sauce. Stir everything until well incorporated. Cook everything for 2 more minutes. Remove from the heat.
Sprinkle freshly chopped green onions on top to garnish.
Serve right away. Enjoy!
