There are a lot of fried chicken recipes out there, but this one will always be my favorite! This recipe is composed of very simple ingredients. I’m pretty sure you already have them in your drawer or fridge. Just follow these easy steps for they will guide you to perfection! Don’t forget to read the notes below for some tips. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
2 c of all-purpose flour
½ tsp poultry seasoning
2 large Eggs
4 tsp garlic salt
2 tsp black pepper
2 tsp of paprika
1 c of milk
Directions:
In a mixing bowl, add milk and eggs. Beat until well incorporated.
In a resealable bag, add the poultry seasoning, flour, paprika, salt, and pepper. Seal the bag and shake it until the ingredients are well incorporated.
Add the chicken inside the bag, then shake it until completely coated.
Transfer the chicken into the bowl with the milk mixture, then toss until well coated. Coat with the flour mixture once more and shake off any excess.
Place a medium skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high. Add oil and allow it to become hot.
Add the chicken to the hot oil, then cook for a couple of minutes until completely cooked through.
Transfer the chicken onto a clean plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
Serve and enjoy!
Notes:
I highly suggest using a meat thermometer to check the temperature of the chicken to avoid overcooking.
Place any leftovers in an airtight container, then put them in the fridge. Reheat for a few minutes before serving again.
What I do is add the leftover chicken onto a baking sheet and throw them in the oven at over 400 degrees F for about 15 to 20 minutes.
