This Homemade Meatloaf Recipe is perfect whether you are having guests over or just a simple family dinner! In just about an hour, this meatloaf is ready to grace your dining table. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
Meatloaf:
2 Eggs (beaten)
1 c bread crumbs (plain)
1 tbsp garlic (minced)
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1 c cheddar cheese (shredded)
¼ tsp red pepper flakes
2 pounds ground beef (90% lean)
1 small onion (finely diced)
⅛ tsp ground black pepper
¼ tsp Kosher salt
1 c milk
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp dried parsley
½ tsp ground paprika
Meatloaf Glaze:
1 tbsp mustard
3 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 tsp apple cider vinegar
2 tbsp sweet chili sauce
⅓ cup ketchup
Directions:
Prepare the oven and preheat to 200 degrees C or 400 degrees F.
Line aluminium foil and apply cooking spray onto a rimmed baking sheet.
For the Meatloaf:
In a large mixing bowl, add all the ingredients for the Meatloaf aside from the milk and egg. Stir everything until well incorporated.
Add the milk and egg, then stir again just until combined.
Add the cheddar cheese and stir just until combined.
Shape the mixture into a loaf, then place it onto the prepared baking sheet.
For the Glaze:
In another mixing bowl, add all the ingredients for the glaze. Stir everything until well blended.
Completely cover the meatloaf with the glaze.
To Bake:
Place the meatloaf in the preheated oven and bake for about 45 minutes or until done.
Brush the rest of the glaze over the meatloaf and bake for additional 15 minutes.
Remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes at room temperature.
Slice the meatloaf into even servings.
