Insanely delicious! These Pork Chops in Gravy are total comfort food that you and your loved ones are going to enjoy! This is surely a must-try!
Ingredients:
½ teaspoon onion powder
¼ c flour
½ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon paprika
Salt, to taste
3 tbsp olive oil
4 pork chops
Gravy:
1 tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp dried sage
4 tbsp Butter
4 tbsp Flour
⅓ c half and half
¼ tsp dried thyme
1 tsp low sodium soy sauce, can sub-Worcestershire sauce
2 c chicken broth
1 beef bouillon cube or 1 tsp better than bouillon
2-3 drops Kitchen Bouquet, optional
¼ tsp dried rosemary
1 tsp onion powder
Directions:
Rub each side of the pork chops with salt and allow them to sit for half an hour in the fridge.
Wrap each pork chop with a saran, then gently pound into thin cuts.
Add garlic powder, flour, onion, and paprika into a shallow bowl. Whisk until well incorporated.
In another bowl, add soy sauce, chicken broth, seasonings, and beef bouillon. Whisk until well incorporated as well.
Use paper towels to pat dry each pork chop, then place them into the bowl with the flour mixture and toss until well coated.
Shake off any excess flour.
Place a large pan on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high. Add oil and allow it to become hot.
Add the pork chops in batches into the hot pan, then sear each side for about 2 minutes or until they turn golden brown.
Transfer the pork chops onto a clean plate. Repeat the process with the rest of the pork chops.
To Make the Gravy:
Place a pan on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high. Add butter and allow it to melt.
Add flour, then whisk and cook for a minute until it turns into a roux.
Add the broth mixture and half & half, then stir until well blended. Simmer the mixture for a few minutes until thick while stirring occasionally.
Turn the heat down to medium-low, then add the seared pork chops. Toss until well coated by the sauce.
Cover the pan with the lid, then cook the pork chops for additional 10 minutes or until tender.
Serve right away. Enjoy!
