Loaded with amazing flavors, this Baked Spaghetti is truly out of this world! This will surely be your new comfort food!
Ingredients:
1 Egg
1 lb. spaghetti
1 c Parmesan cheese – grated
1 8 ounces cream cheese
1 c cottage cheese
2 c Mozzarella cheese – grated
1 lb. of ground beef
1 small to medium onion – chopped
1 24-ounce jar of Marinara sauce – I use Rao’s
Directions:
Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Place a skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Add the ground beef and onion, then cook for a few minutes until crumbly, brown, and soft. Discard any grease.
Add marinara sauce on top of the ground beef, then stir until well blended.
Place a large pot with water on the stove and turn the heat to high. Allow the water to boil.
Add the spaghetti and a bit of salt, then cook for a few minutes until al dente. Drain and transfer the pasta into a large bowl.
Pour cream cheese over the spaghetti, then toss until well coated.
In another bowl, add cottage cheese, ½ cup of Parmesan cheese, and an egg. Stir until mixed.
Add ½ cup of meat sauce to the bottom of a 9×13-inch casserole dish and spread it evenly. Make sure to cover the bottom.
Add ½ of the pasta over the meat sauce.
Top the pasta with cottage cheese and spread it evenly.
Add the rest of the pasta on top of the cheese layer, then spread the rest of the meat sauce on top.
Sprinkle Mozzarella cheese on top of the meat sauce.
Cover the baking dish with aluminium foil.
Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes.
Remove the foil cover, then bake for another 15 minutes or until the cheese melts completely and turns golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let the Baked Spaghetti rest for at least 10 minutes. Slice.
Serve and enjoy!
