Ingredients:
1 lb. spaghetti
1 8 ounces cream cheese
1 small to medium onion – chopped
1 24-ounce jar of Marinara sauce – I use Rao’s
1 c Parmesan cheese – grated
1 Egg
1 c cottage cheese
2 c Mozzarella cheese – grated
1 lb. of ground beef
Directions:
Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Place a skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Add the ground beef, then cook for a few minutes until crumbly and brown. Discard any accumulated.
Add marinara sauce, then stir until well blended.
Place a large pot with water on the stove and turn the heat to high. Allow the water to boil.
Add the spaghetti, then cook for a few minutes until al dente. Drain and put it into a mixing bowl.
Add cream cheese over the spaghetti, then toss until well coated. \
In another bowl, add egg, cottage cheese, and ½ cup of Parmesan cheese. Stir until well blended.
Add ½ cup of meat sauce to the bottom of a 9×13-inch casserole dish and spread it evenly.
Add ½ of the spaghetti over the meat sauce.
Top the spaghetti with cottage cheese and spread it evenly.
Add the rest of the spaghetti on top of the cheese, then spread the rest of the meat sauce on top.
Sprinkle Mozzarella cheese on top of the meat sauce.
Cover the baking dish with aluminium foil.
Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes.
Remove the foil cover, then bake for 15 more minutes or until the cheese turns melted completely and golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let the Baked Spaghetti rest for a few minutes at room temperature.
Slice into even servings.
Serve and enjoy!
