Ingredients:
1 loaf of French bread, cut in half lengthwise
1 medium green bell pepper, sliced
1 medium yellow onion, sliced
10-12 slices Provolone cheese
2 tbsp butter
16 oz. Ribeye Steak thinly sliced
¼ c mayonnaise
4 oz. mushrooms sliced
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp canola oil
Directions:
Prepare the oven and preheat to 200 degrees C or 400 degrees F.
Sprinkle salt and pepper over the ribeye steak, then toss until well coated.
Place a large cast-iron skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
Add oil and allow it to become hot.
Add the ribeye steak, then sear each side sear for 2 minutes.
Add Worcestershire sauce, then stirs until the meat is well coated. Transfer the steak onto a clean plate.
In the empty skillet, add butter and allow it to melt.
Add onion, mushrooms, and bell peppers. Sauté until soft and translucent. Sprinkle salt and pepper to season.
Brush mayonnaise over the sliced bread.
Top each prepared bread with Provolone cheese slices.
Add the steak and veggies over the cheese.
Add the rest of the cheese to the steak.
Place them in the preheated oven and bake for 10 minutes or until the cheese turns golden brown.
Remove from the oven.
Slice into even servings.
Serve right away and enjoy!
