Ingredients:
2 c canola or peanut oil
1 tsp garlic powder
1 c milk
1 c all-purpose flour
3 lbs. chicken, cut into pieces
1 tsp seasoned salt (optional)
2 Eggs
salt and pepper, to taste
Directions:
Wash and rinse the chicken. Use paper towels to pat them dry.
Add milk and eggs into a mixing bowl. Beat until creamy.
Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until well blended.
Add the chicken pieces into the bowl with the milk mixture, then toss until well covered. Allow them to rest for at least 10 minutes.
Add seasoned salt and flour inside a large resealable bag, then shake it until well blended.
Add the chicken pieces inside the bag in batches, then shake it until well coated.
Place the coated chicken onto a rack. Allow them to sit for a couple of minutes to dry out.
Place a deep fryer on the stove and turn the heat to about 350 degrees F.
Add the chicken pieces in batches into the hot fryer, then cook each side for a couple of minutes until they turn golden brown.
Transfer the chicken onto a clean plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
Serve and enjoy!
