Ingredients:
¼ c Pecorino Romano or Parmigiano Reggiano (Parmesan), grated
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp lemon juice (~½ lemon)
1 stick butter, room temperature or melted
2 tbsp parsley, chopped
2 cloves garlic, grated
1 tbsp parsley, chopped
½ c Pecorino Romano or Parmigiano Reggiano (Parmesan), grated
12 oysters on the half shell
salt, pepper, and cayenne to taste
Directions:
In a mixing bowl, add garlic, Worcestershire sauce, butter, cheese, lemon juice, parsley, salt, pepper, and cayenne. Stir until well blended.
Prepare the grill and preheat to 180 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Place the oysters over the preheated grill, then cook until hot.
Top each oyster with 1 tbsp of the butter mixture.
Sprinkle a generous amount of cheese over each oyster on top of the butter mixture.
Cook for a few more minutes until the cheese has melted completely and turns golden brown.
Transfer the oysters onto a clean serving plate, then sprinkle freshly chopped parsley on top to garnish.
Serve right away with hot sauce, butter, bread, and lemon wedges. Enjoy!
