Ingredients:
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 c salted butter (2 sticks)
40 saltine crackers (1 sleeve)
Nuts or sprinkles for topping
1 (12 ounces) bag of milk chocolate chips
1 c light brown sugar
Directions:
Prepare the oven and preheat to 200 degrees C or 400 degrees F.
Line a cookie sheet with aluminium foil, then apply cooking spray on it.
Add one layer of the saltine crackers onto the prepared cookie sheet.
Place a medium saucepan on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
Add butter and allow it to melt.
Add the brown sugar and stir until well blended. Allow the mixture to boil. Make sure that the sugar is dissolved completely.
Remove the saucepan from the stove, then add 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract. Stir until well blended.
Add the toffee mixture over the crackers and spread it evenly.
Place the cookie sheet inside the preheated oven and bake the dough for about 6 minutes.
Remove from the oven, then sprinkle milk chocolate chips over the crackers.
Let the chocolate chips sit for 1 to 2 minutes on top to melt, then spread it evenly.
Sprinkle chopped nuts or sprinkles on top.
Allow it to cool completely at room temperature, then break it into small pieces.
Serve and enjoy!
