Ingredients:
¼ c grated mozzarella
1 green onion, chopped
1 10 oz. package of frozen chopped spinach defrosted and squeezed dry
½ c crumbled feta (buy a block and crumble it yourself
1 egg whisked with 1 tbsp of water
1 puff pastry sheet, defrosted
A few grates of fresh nutmeg
½ tsp garlic salt
Directions:
In a mixing bowl, add water and egg. Beat until well blended.
In another mixing bowl, add onion, cheese, and seasonings. Stir until well blended.
Sprinkle flour onto a flat surface, then lay the puff pastry on it and roll out.
Brush the flattened pastry with the egg wash.
Add the cheese mixture on top and spread it evenly.
Pull apart the spinach, then scatter them on top of the cheese mixture.
Roll up the pastry from end to end.
Line with parchment paper two baking sheets.
Slice into about ¾-inch the roll.
Arrange the rolls onto the prepared baking sheets.
Place them inside the freezer to chill for a few minutes.
Prepare the oven and preheat to 200 degrees C or 400 degrees F.
Place the rolls inside the preheated oven and bake for about 15 minutes or until they become golden brown.
Remove from the oven and allow them to cool for a few minutes at room temperature.
