Christmas is fast approaching. These cookies should be made on Christmas morning! I’m telling you that your loved ones are going to love these heavenly treats! Ingredients:
½ c (100g) granulated sugar*
1 ¾ c (248g) unbleached all-purpose flour** (scoop and level to measure)
1 c (226g) unsalted butter, cold, diced into tiny cubes
¼ teaspoon salt
8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, chopped (optional)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
In the bowl stand mixer, add the sugar and butter. Beat until well blended.
Add salt and beat until well blended.
Add the vanilla and beat until well blended. Make sure to scrape the sides of the bowl as well.
Add flour and whisk until well mixed.
Sprinkle flour on a flat surface, then place the dough on it. Use a rolling pin to roll the dough to about ⅓-inch thick.
Slice the dough into even pieces.
Transfer the dough onto baking sheets. Make sure to leave a small space between each dough.
Place the baking sheets inside the fridge and allow the dough to chill for at least 30 minutes.
Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Place the baking sheets inside the preheated oven and bake the cookies for 16 minutes or until done.
Remove the cookies from the oven and allow them to cool completely at room temperature.
Serve warm and enjoy!
Note:
Feel free to add more sugar if you want sweeter cookies.
