Ingredients:
4 (6-inch) sub rolls
1 Egg
1 ¼ c saltine crackers
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
½ c milk
1 lb. lean ground beef at least 90% lean
A tsp of salt & pepper to taste
4 tbsp ketchup plus more for topping
2 c shredded cheddar cheese
½ tsp garlic powder
½ small onion minced
½ tsp dried thyme
Directions:
Prepare the oven and preheat to 225 degrees C or 450 degrees F.
Split the spring rolls into two, then arrange them onto a baking sheet.
Add egg, ground beef, crushed crackers, 4 tbsp ketchup, onion, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, dried thyme, salt, and pepper into a mixing bowl. Stir until well mixed.
Spoon the meat mixture over each bun and spread it evenly.
Add ketchup on top of the meat mixture and spread it evenly.
Put them inside the preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes or until done.
Remove from the oven and sprinkle a generous amount of shredded cheese over each bun.
Add them back inside the oven and bake for another 3 minutes or until the cheese is melted completely.
Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes at room temperature.
Serve and enjoy!
