I am so grateful to her for sharing this with me because now, I get to share it with you as well. How perfect is that? Ingredients:
1 stick butter
2 c buttermilk
2 ½ c all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons salt
4 teaspoons sugar
4 teaspoons baking powder
Directions:
Prepare the oven and preheat to 225 degrees C or 450 degrees F.
In a mixing bowl, add all the dry ingredients. Whisk until well mixed.
Add the buttermilk, then whisk until well blended. You should get a moist dough.
Add butter into a heat-proof bowl. Place it inside the microwave and heat until the butter is melted completely.
Pour the melted butter into a 9×9-inch baking dish and spread it evenly.
Put the dough into the baking dish over the melted butter, then coat the sides.
Slice the dough into 9 equal portions.
Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for about 25 minutes or until done.
Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes at room temperature.
Serve warm and enjoy!
