Ingredients:
1 pound Hillshire Farms Smoked Sausage sliced ¼-inch thick
2 c broccoli florets
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1½ c cooked brown rice – I use minute rice to save time!
1 c shredded cheddar cheese
1 teaspoon onion salt
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper
Directions:
Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
Add olive oil and butter, then allow them to become hot.
Add the sausage slices and cook until brown. This usually takes about 5 minutes.
Add in the broccoli, then cover the skillet. Turn the heat down to low and cook for 5 minutes or until soft. Make sure to stir from time to time.
Add the garlic powder, onion salt, and cooked rice. Stir until well combined.
Add the shredded cheese and stir until melted completely.
Serve and enjoy!
