Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
16 ounces can, refried beans
1 cup chunky salsa
1 package taco seasoning
2 cups crushed tortilla chips plus a little more for topping
2 cups Mexican cheese blend shredded cheese
1 large tomato, chopped
3 green onions, chopped
2 cups shredded lettuce
Directions:
Step 1: Place a skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Step 2: Add the ground beef and cook until crumbly and brown. Discard any excess grease.
Step 3: Add the taco seasoning, salsa, and refried beans. Stir and cook for 5 more minutes, then remove the skillet from the heat.
Step 4: Add 2 cups of tortilla chips to the bottom of a 9×13-inch casserole dish and spread it evenly.
Step 5: Spread the meat mixture on top of the tortilla chips.
Step 6: Add a generous amount of cheese, ½ green onions, and ½ of chopped tomatoes on top.
Step 7: Place the casserole dish inside and bake for about 20 minutes at 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Step 8: Remove the casserole dish inside the oven.
Step 9: Add the rest of the tomatoes, lettuce, chips, and green onions on top.
Step 10: Top everything with more cheese.
Step 11: Serve warm and enjoy!
