This recipe has always been a part of my family since I was a little kid. I remember my Grandma used to make this incredible pie. Oh, man, you should have seen her worked around the kitchen. She was a wizard! This recipe is just one of her specialities. I have listed all the ingredients and directions so all you need to do is to follow them step by step and you are good to go! Feel free to add more ingredients if you want. Tweak this recipe a little to your liking! Ingredients:
5 granny smith apples, sliced
2 cans cinnamon roll
½ c sugar (100 g)
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp cornstarch
Directions:
Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 180 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Step 2: Apply cooking spray into a pie dish.
Step 3: Cut into thin pieces the peeled apples, then place them into a medium mixing bowl.
Step 4: In the same bowl with the apple slices, add cornstarch, cinnamon, and sugar. Toss until well coated.
Step 5: Slice each cinnamon roll into two and roll each on a floured surface until it becomes thin.
Step 6: Place the flattened rolls on the bottom of the pie dish.
Step 7: Arrange the apples over the crust.
Step 8: Cover the pie dish with aluminium foil.
Step 9: Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for about 35 minutes.
Step 10: Remove the foil cover and bake for 10 more minutes.
Step 11: Remove from the oven and allow the pie to cool at room temperature.
Step 12: Drizzle the icing over the cooled pie.
Step 13: Serve and enjoy!
