Ingredients:
2 Bone-in thick pork chops, about 1 inch thick
3 tbsp garlic minced
2 tbsp vegetable oil
4 tbsp butter
½ tsp red pepper flakes
3 tbsp brown sugar
salt and pepper
fresh parsley chopped
Directions:
Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 200 degrees C or 400 degrees F.
Step 2: Season with salt and pepper the pork chops.
Step 3: Place an oven-safe skillet on the stove and turn the heat medium-high.
Step 4: Add vegetable oil and allow it to become hot.
Step 5: Add the pork chops and sear each side for about 3 minutes or until nicely browned.
Step 6: Remove the pork chops from the skillet and place them on a clean plate.
Step 7: Reduce the heat and add butter into the same skillet, then allow it to melt.
Step 8: Add the garlic, red pepper, and brown sugar. Whisk until well mixed, then allow the mixture to simmer for about 3 minutes.
Step 9: Put the pork chops back to the skillet and toss until well coated with the sauce.
Step 10: Remove the skillet from the stove and transfer it inside the preheated oven.
Step 11: Bake the pork chops for about 8 to 10 minutes or until done.
Step 12: Remove from the oven and allow the pork chops to sit at room temperature to cool for at least 5 minutes.
Step 13: Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley on top.
